Here is first rough draft of system...

• button of front page says "donate".
• takes user to a form with following fields:
  • name (optional display, but possibly required data for CC and Paypal)
  • amount (required)
  • email address (required for paypal i think)
  • url (optional)
  • comment
  • CC info (if used: card number, name, expire date, possibly code # from back)
• system records up "pledge"
• system displays feedback to indicate success or failure of process
• what do we do if failure with pledge?
• user is returned to home page with progress meter updated and comment added as appropriate
• system collects pledges (what if pledges broken?)
• system issues payment if appropriate and when authorize
• system accepts subscriptions (e.g., $20/project - note, this is not necessarily same as $20/month)
